Fees
Spectrum is a fee for service practice. I do not submit any claims to insurance and am considered an out-of-network provider. I am happy to provide you with a superbill at the end of the evaluation that you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. I am not a Medicaid provider, therefore, by law, I am unable to bill or accept payment for services for a patient covered by Medicaid.
Evaluation Cost
The cost for an evaluation is dependent on the extensiveness of the evaluation and age of the client. Please contact me for an estimate of cost based on your individual circumstances.
Accepted Methods of Payment
I accept cash, check, all major credit cards, HSA (Health Savings Accounts) cards, and FSA (flexible savings accounts).
IEE Cost
If you have requested an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) through your school district, you must inform the school district that you have selected Dr. Alison Kennedy as the evaluator. The district will then contact me to obtain information and send a purchase order for the evaluation. You will not be responsible for any payments if you have obtained an IEE.
My Commitment to Superior Service
I realize that the evaluation you are seeking is an investment in your/your child's future and that such an investment deserves the highest level of service and care. Unfortunately, private, for-profit insurance companies operate to generate income for their shareholders. Part of how they do this is to de-incentivize members from accessing care, particularly expensive procedures like psychological testing. Insurance reimbursement rates also impede health care practitioners from providing the highest quality care. Because the costs of providing high level care in the Colorado metro areas are significant, psychologists in our area cannot serve on insurance panels without sacrificing quality of care. Until insurance companies make it possible to accept insurance without sacrificing quality of care, I will remain an out-of-network provider in order to ensure the highest level of care and service for each of my patients.
